March 2026 Social Meeting

March’s social meeting was a very interesting presentation by the local area of the Guide Dogs charity, presented by Jill & Richard Bussien from Harleston, ably assisted by Vinnie. In their words, Vinnie completed his training but didn’t want to work, so was offered back to them and has taken up a new role as an ambassador dog. Puppies are bred in house, and transfer to a puppy trainer at 8 weeks old, and then transfer again to the training school at 18 months old. As one can imagine, the training is very involved, before the final matching and mutual training with the visually impaired person.
